> Flow's new beekeepers & Western Red Cedar upgrade reminder
>
> Hi everybody,
>
> While we have a lot of really experienced beekeepers in the Anderson family, and on the Flow team, a few of us barely knew what a bee was when we got on board.
>
> Just like some of you, some of us are learning along the way.
>
> Yesterday, under the guidance of Yari (our IT expert and one of our resident beekeeping gurus), some of the less experienced among us suited up in the backyard of our office on the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia.
>
> We found some small hive beetles — and squished them.
>
> We inspected the combs and watched newborns hatch from their cells — amazing!
>
> We sampled some delicious melaleuca burr comb from inside the lid.
>
> All basic stuff for people who've done it before, but fascinating for newbees, and a taste of what you can look forward to.
>
> We then placed a Flow™ Full atop one of Yari's already thriving brood boxes. It was great to watch the bees go straight to it and start working on the cells. It's spring here, so very soon we will have honey on tap for our toast.
>

>
> Despite having everyone messing around with them on an overcast morning, these fifth generation Byron Bay bees were content and in the perfect mood for Yari to pass on his knowledge.
>
> For some of our team, it was also a first look at the western red cedar boxes. The western red cedar looks amazing and we're really happy to bring you these sustainable and incredibly durable hives.
>
> You can check them out in more detail here.
>
> REMINDER: Until midnight, August 25 (AEST), we're offering the western red cedar upgrade FREE.
>
> Because of the amazing support for the western red cedar coming in from all around the world, we're able to bulk order the materials, streamline our processes, and pass those savings on to our supporters.
>
> If you can't order quite yet, don't worry, the western red cedar boxes and hives will still be available as an optional upgrade.
>
> Thanks again for your support of Flow, we are really enjoying the updates from beekeepers both experienced and new. It's such a wonderful way to connect with the natural world around you and most importantly, something we can all do to help out our little friends, the bees.
>
> If you would like the free western red cedar upgrade you can pre order here.
>
> Happy beekeeping,
>
