Fwd: Watch this doco for the full Flow story

> Hi everybody,
>
> Recently, we were featured on one of Australia's best respected documentary programs, Australian Story, which screens every Monday night on the national broadcaster, ABC-TV.
>
> That, in itself, was another chapter in the Flow story which continues to take our breath away.
>
> When it screened a couple of weeks ago, many people in Australia watched, and they got a much better sense of who we were and how all this came to be.
>
> If you want to get to know us all a bit better, you can watch it on the Australian Story website.
>
> The filmmakers really did a fantastic job of capturing where we are at and what we're about as a company, as well as how we work together and with our team of family and friends. We're sure you'll enjoy watching Australian Story, Going With the Flow.
>
> And watch out for when we tap honey from the first proper Flow Frame for the first time. That's our favourite bit!
>
> Happy beekeeping,

Fwd: Newbee Flow staff get hands-on for the first time!

----------
Cc: ZblogCullmanBeekeepersAssociation

> Flow's new beekeepers & Western Red Cedar upgrade reminder
>
> Hi everybody,
>
> While we have a lot of really experienced beekeepers in the Anderson family, and on the Flow team, a few of us barely knew what a bee was when we got on board.
>
> Just like some of you, some of us are learning along the way.
>
> Yesterday, under the guidance of Yari (our IT expert and one of our resident beekeeping gurus), some of the less experienced among us suited up in the backyard of our office on the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia.
>
> We found some small hive beetles — and squished them.
>
> We inspected the combs and watched newborns hatch from their cells — amazing!
>
> We sampled some delicious melaleuca burr comb from inside the lid.
>
> All basic stuff for people who've done it before, but fascinating for newbees, and a taste of what you can look forward to.
>
> We then placed a Flow™ Full atop one of Yari's already thriving brood boxes. It was great to watch the bees go straight to it and start working on the cells. It's spring here, so very soon we will have honey on tap for our toast.
>
> Click here for some pictures of the team with their learning faces on, and some cool shots of the office hives.
>
> Despite having everyone messing around with them on an overcast morning, these fifth generation Byron Bay bees were content and in the perfect mood for Yari to pass on his knowledge.
>
> For some of our team, it was also a first look at the western red cedar boxes. The western red cedar looks amazing and we're really happy to bring you these sustainable and incredibly durable hives.
>
> You can check them out in more detail here.
>
> REMINDER: Until midnight, August 25 (AEST), we're offering the western red cedar upgrade FREE.
>
> Because of the amazing support for the western red cedar coming in from all around the world, we're able to bulk order the materials, streamline our processes, and pass those savings on to our supporters.
>
> If you can't order quite yet, don't worry, the western red cedar boxes and hives will still be available as an optional upgrade.
>
> Thanks again for your support of Flow, we are really enjoying the updates from beekeepers both experienced and new. It's such a wonderful way to connect with the natural world around you and most importantly, something we can all do to help out our little friends, the bees.
>
> If you would like the free western red cedar upgrade you can pre order here.

Fwd: FLOW™ UPDATE: Together We Raised $97,360 for Vanuatu Cyclone Relief

No Images? Click here

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who bought tickets in the raffle for the world's first Premium Flow™ Hive.

Together, we have raised US$97,360 to help people in Vanuatu rebuild their homes and lives after the devastation of Cyclone Pam.

Oxfam Australia is astounded by your generosity, and the contribution we will make on your behalf is the largest single donation they have received for their Vanuatu Appeal.

You have made a real difference in the lives of real people, and are helping provide food, clean water, clothing, medicine and shelter to some of the thousands of individuals displaced by the storm.

We're so proud of the community of good, caring people that has built up around Flow™ Hive and are truly inspired by the way we've all come together to provide help where it's needed most.

We'd also like to congratulate Jason A. of Washington DC, ticket number: #6720235371, on winning the raffle.

He'll be the first person in the world to own a Premium Flow™ Hive, which we're going to send out to him free of charge as the first order to roll off the conveyor belt.

Congratulations Jason!

To see the video of the raffle draw click here.

Premium Flow Hives

We have had many enquiries from people interested in purchasing a Premium Hand Crafted Flow™ Hive, like the one we had made for our Vanuatu Fundraiser.

We are happy to announce that plans are in place to make these available soon.

If you are interested in a Premium Flow™ Hive please register your interest here: http://www.honeyflow.com/shop/premium-hive/p/95

You will be notified as soon we have finalised all of the details.

Once again, thank you all for your generosity, and support.

Until next time,

Stuart, Cedar and the Flow™ team.

P.S. Time is running out to support our crowdfunding project, there are only 6 days left before it ends!

Cullman Beekeepers Meeting Tuesday Night 6:30

Don't forget the meeting of The Cullman Beekeepers Association
this tuesday night at 6:30pm.

Phillip is going to present a demonstration on making candles.

Also, I don't know if any of you are visiting the link blog on the website
but there is a wealth of information on there from all over the world.
It is updated daily with links of interest to most Beekeepers.

Free books to download, book reviews, new catalogs from little know supply companies
that are not easy to find on the internet, many photos from Beekeepers around the world,
copies or links to the laws or regulations affecting the industries, research and more.

I have automatic search engines gleaning the world for this type of information for me
then I go through it all and only post what I think would be relevant and the best of what
I receive and what I think would be of interest to our members. There is a lot of junk that
shows up.

A great deal of time and effort goes into finding and posting this information so use it.
If you have not visited the Blog, I have included a direct link to it so go through the
archives on the right side though 2014 and see if there is anything there for you.
I don't make up the headlines. That is the way it comes so if it sounds interesting
just click on the link below it and you should be taken to that article. I will make the
navigation easier later.

If anyone would like links placed on the site send them to me and I will try to get them
on there. Some have already done so. The site is under construction and needs work
and I plan to totally revamp it soon so send your suggestions and links. Not many
of the members are on the internet so it is not of high priority until they do. There are
only 19 member e-mail addresses on the mailing list at this time so that is probably
how many are able to use the site and probably not all 19 do.

We may have some free give-a- ways for some of you there also but don't hold me to it.
I will have to see if I can get them.

You, or someone in your family, probably placed you on this e-mail list.
If you would like to be removed just send a reply with the words remove me
or something similar and we will do that for you.
