Farming Basics online course now available
After hard work and dedication by so many people, an exciting new online course is now available for farmers. This course is built for helping beginning or experienced farmers achieve more knowledge about their field of work.

A self-paced course, Farming Basics equips beginning farmers with the skills needed to start a farm operation. The course, a collaboration of Alabama Extension and Auburn University professionals, focuses on farm management and marketing, pesticide safety, food safety, basic crop production and pest management.  Each chapter includes short videos as well as lists of important resources. Short quizzes reinforce key chapter concepts.

This course is part of Extension's overarching Beginning Farmer Program, a collaborative effort of multiple partners including producer organizations and nonprofit agencies
