A change is coming to the Cullman Beekeepers Association.

Hello Cullman Beekeepers:

My name is Anthony Harper. Some of you will remember me but many of you new people have never seen or heard of me as I have not been to a meeting in quite some time. I am the one that built and manages the website and pays for the hosting for the association and I have been sending out meeting reminders since January 20, 2014. That is 3140 days or about 8.6 years.

It has been my good fortune that Ronna Price has stepped up and asked to be the one doing most of that for the foreseeable future. She has been doing this type work for some other organizations for some time and enjoys it. After talking with her at length, she seems more than capable of doing a better job than I have had time or will have time to do.

I have been having to deal with some very time consuming issues for several years now and instead of getting better with time they have consistently gotten more time consuming. So I decided to turn most of this high paying job over to her as my mattresses are full. I ran this decision by the powers in charge and they were good with the change over that has now taken place as of 08/26/2022.

I will still be in the background for a while longer as I support Ronna and I plan on making some changes to the website that was just put up as a demo many years ago and needs to be updated. We discussed some features that I had wanted to implement long ago but didn't know if it was worth the effort and time as there were not many members on the internet back then.  I think the changes are  more timely now . I believe it will be much better but lt will be a long process as I have huge time constraints as I said.

So, you can expect that Ronna will be sending  out the next announcement soon as this may be my last for some time. Everyone can wish her luck until she gets rich and moves on too. Maybe I will see you guys in the future, or maybe not. So BEE good and keep it going and try not to get stung too much.

By the way, while I am thinking about it, take a look at this. You can do this at home starting tonight.

Good luck.
Anthony Harper

On another note: Google and some of the phone networks have changed some of their parameters and a large number of the text messages sent out for the  last meeting were either delivered late or not at all.
Until I can get time to find a possible workaround I am sending emails only. This is the only one you will get this month for this meeting so you might want to set your own reminders.
